  • What is the main purpose of the We Are One collaborative group?

    The main purpose of We Are One collaborative group is to allow diabetes professionals living with type 1 diabetes to communicate with each other on the many different aspects and advances in the type 1 space. Some examples include referrals, updates on diabetes meetings, research advances, consulting, speaking, and sharing protocols and other ideas relating to type 1 diabetes.

  • How is We Are One different from other platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook?

    We Are One is unique because it brings together diabetes professionals working in the field who are also living with type 1 diabetes. It is an open space for sharing with others who get you and cannot be accessed by those who are not members. There is no other site like this one.

  • Who is eligible to be a We Are One member?

    The first criteria are that you have to have type 1 diabetes. The second is that you are working in the diabetes space. Healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical and device company representatives, social media influencers, authors, bloggers and more are all welcome!

  • Is We Are One for diabetes professionals with type 1 in the U.S. only?

    We Are One is open to any diabetes professional living with type 1 anywhere in the world. We are all blood brothers and sisters.

  • How is We Are One funded?

    We Are One is a TCOYD (Taking Control Of Your Diabetes), 501(c)(3) initiative. We are looking for sponsors specifically for We Are One to help support and manage the site and grow our membership.
